That to me Terry looks like a refuse truck that’s done a collection and not turning around to avoid the bridge. It looks like it would get under the bridge no probs.

I got myself in a similar situation when I was a noob,I was on a housing estate,and to turn around,I drove into a yard surrounded by lock-ups…BIG mistake.
I started flapping,and ended up where I couldn’t go forward or back 
fortunately there was no one around to witness my pathetic attempts to extricate myself 
Luckily,I was able to get out of the cab,calm myself down,and work out my escape plan,but it’s not so easy when you’ve got a crowd of ghouls watching you

I live just up the road from there and yea it’s an 11’ arch bridge and yea there are at least 3 signs put up within the last year , before where the bread-van is . there is even an illuminated sign triggered by height sensors
If instead of trying to turn there ,if he had parked up and walked back maybe 50 years there is a turning into a car park for some flats , easy peasy turning spot .
Mind you you do have to wonder about some drivers , a few years ago I was down thee in my car and there was a refrigerated artic trailer , the driver was letting the suspension on the trailer down

He could have observed the road signs warning of the low bridge and not gone down there in the first place.
Possibly had a delivery down there ?
