Unlucky mate but you’ll do it !! I failed mine 1st time so don’t worry
trouble with tests and roundabouts is if you wait to pull out you would be there all day and if you stay too long you fail for not making progress, you cannot win, good luck with your next test

I reckon that most ppl that fail on the HGV test is due to roundabouts, coz the car ■■■■■■■ don’t use them bloody indicator things… you know the directional things that tell every one else where the [zb] there going…■■■■ it up mate and have another stab
Car ■■■■■■■. Such a professional attitude to other road users.
I got a minor during my car test which I queried with the examiner afterward
A little kid broke free from his mothers hand and started toddling toward the edge of the road. I clocked him, and leaned forward in the seat and looked at him to make sure the examiner knew I’d seen him. He was about ten or fifteen metres from the road. His mum ran after him and grabbed him in plenty of time and they walked off. They were about thirty metres ahead of me.
I’d covered the brake but was only doing about fifteen miles an hour as I was in heavy town traffic with speed bumps.
She said after I should have slowed down but I could easily have stopped in time. Perhaps I could have kept my trap shut. I did pass but it struck me after that she was going to find fault whatever.
Every shunt on the reverse counts as a minor. Hence you’re allowed 2. The 3rd would convert it into a serious.
I think instructors don’t tell you this, just that you’re allowed 2 shunts, because, the stubborn male in us would have us tying the bloody thing in knots trying to keep a clean sheet, when the simple and logical thing to do, would be to take the shunt and sort it all out.

The Devil lies in this detail.
My interpretation of The Highway Book of Top-Tips is that as one gently, courteously and reasonably advances across the give-way line at the frantic grid on an F1 roundabout, one becomes actually on the roundabout.
Thus, one should be given way to by vehicles yet to either be seen or have yet crossed their respective give-way line.
Sod their hoots of derision, coffee waving or clueless wails of “WTF?” …a “vehicle already on” is a “vehicle already on” - end of
don’t worry just change your username to 2 steps backwards.
I failed my 1st due to sodding fan belts snapping but hey ho life is life its frustrating but the next test was ■■■■ easy.
