Hello to you all,
This morning (about 11am ) I was making my way southbound along the M42 between J5 and J4 , and heading northbound on a stepframe trailer was a F88 4 wheel rigid. I am saying F88 as it had a chrome grille (though Im sure those of you as F series expert will tell me otherwise) and had a dark royal blue cab, and flatbed body.
Does anyone know who’s it is, as I seemed a fine example of a rare vehicle

There was a left hand drive F88 for sale on Ebay the other day that was a 4 wheel flatbed I think in the Monmouth area

in its hey day I can picture that with a box body instead of flat and pulling a a frame box.

Not quite true Keith, they did a small black grill on a 240 also and also a detuned large black grill which was 250. I’ve driven or owned all of them.

There are 3 x f88 units on ebay at the moment.
DeanB been there done that and it worked for its living doing continental as well as UK, ad a chance once along time ago to buy a rigid F88 it was used for testing Goodyear tyres in Birmingham and never had a load on it, hind sight is such a wonderful thing Buzzer.
Yes i know you had one,like you say rigid ones are very rare.
