F. Knowles & Son - Volvo F12 Globetrotter (L29 COM)

Has anyone got any pics of the Volvo F12 Globetrotter (L29 COM) that belongs to F. Knowles & Son of Leeds? Any pics will be gratefully accepted  but older pics of it working etc will be much appreciated  as I think it retired as a working truck a few years ago??

Thought id seen it out and about aswellโ€ฆ

speak to Globby 480, he did all the work on that truck and made it what it is today

it does take the โ– โ– โ– โ–  a bit when, as you say, it retired as a working truck a few years ago when Globby left Knowles, but it still came second in last years Senior Working Truck category at Truckfest Peterborough :unamused:

It used to be Globby 480โ€™s motor so he will have loads of pictures.
I think he is the one who made it look so good

:smiling_imp: You beet me to it :smiling_imp:  :grimacing:

yep i was the one what spoilt it, it does still do a little work but nothing major these days as the fitter has taken the truck under his wing now :frowning: :frowning: , so it will be even more chaved up than before, it may take the odd trailer to test station, or even do a odd job if they are short of trucks but it spends most of its life sat in the garage, but i am the guilty one for spoiling it sorry guys,
AJT pm mr you email address and i will get in touch with you ok,daz

Christ Daz, it didnt do much work anyway   , 1 local in the morning then a shampoo and set the rest of the day :grimacing: :grimacing: . Thats if it wasnt in bits !!!. FPMSL when you stripped the interior completely out then still used it in the meantime, the cab accoustics werent great with no insulation and wires everywhere . Like you said give it 12 months and itll be like a chaved up corsa :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

it had to go to work chubbs so it didnt matter that truck worked โ€ฆ you mean like these pics, can you imagine to days wanna be drivers getting in a cab in that state,
YES I DROVE IT LIKE THIS FOR WEEKS ASWELL!!!

even thought about been a cheap skate and make it like one of those italian bedfords with only one seat, :grimacing: :grimacing:

AND with a little bit of tidying up or should i say a bit of paint :grimacing:

and a few panels made it a little more homely  and the a few of the wires for the ice/speaker/ amps fitment
