there must be one of you out there who knows,

you need to know how good your eyesight is ie 20/20 vision or 5/10 or whatever
what you’ve listed is the prescription for your glasses/contacts

specsavers.co.uk/ask-the-opt … uirements/

edit…

Where glasses are worn to meet the minimum standard for driving, they should have a corrective power of no more than plus eight (+8) dioptres".

your prescription is under 8 for each eye so should be fine

according to google anyway!

here’s what the numbers in your prescription mean…
specsavers.co.uk/eye-health/ … escription

from dvla site

You must have a visual acuity at least 0.8 (6/7.5) measured on the Snellen scale in your best eye and at least 0.1 (6/60) on the Snellen scale in the other eye.

You can reach this standard using glasses with a corrective power not more than (+) 8 dioptres, or with contact lenses. There’s no specific limit for the corrective power of contact lenses.

You must have a horizontal visual field of at least 160 degrees, the extension should be at least 70 degrees left and right and 30 degrees up and down. No defects should be present within a radius of the central 30 degrees.

You must tell DVLA if you’ve got any problem with your eyesight that affects either eye.

You may still be able to renew your lorry or bus licence if you can’t meet these standards but held your licence before 1 January 1997

As said, you need 0.8 which is line 7 on this chart in your best eye.

As peoples computer screens are different sizes, measure the largest letter at the top in mm, then divide by 88 and multiply by 6. This ishow many meters you need to stand away in order to read it.

Thanks for the reply guys, sorry about just putting the prescription as I said it’s all a bit over my heads, the Snelling chart at spec savers today wasn’t a regular chart that I have seen with one letter at the top it was in banks of four, I had looked on driver medicals and it said bottom line with good eye and top line with bad eye but the different style chart through me abit.
