Extended working days

On Two days of the week you are allowed to extend your driving to 10hours, would this have to be compensated at any point to balance out weekly 45 / fortnightly 90 hours driving?

Cheers

Not compensated as such, but you do need to keep a track of your hours driven on other days to ensure you do not exceed the 56 hour weekly or 90 hour fortnightly driving limits.

Yeah that’s what I thought, so really it would mean having to work less than a 9 hours driving day at some point in that week / fortnight

Thanks

Depends how many days you work in that period - many drivers do 4 on 4 off shifts so it could work out that in two fixed weeks they do driving hours of 10 10 9 9 … 10 10 9 9
