Ford have a new prototype lightweight day cab tipper.
This one was spotted on the Lincoln bypass carrying ■■■■■■■■.
To further enhance the disguise on this vehicle it has 2 different number plates
one on the trailer & one on the unit
My sources tell me there are a number of other manufacturers interested in this type of design and rumours are circulating that there may even be more than one of these prototypes in the country
Whether it has a Ford or Renault badge on the front, I’ll gaurantee that it doesn’t have an operators disc in the window, or white diesel in its tanks!
Its about time that this sort of thing was stopped. Around here lately, there have been several of these “prototypes” pulling plant, doing hauliers out of business.
Whats funny is that so many owner operators of these vehicles claim there’s no money in it,yet seem to be able to afford new 4x4 cars, and new ‘tractor units.’

C&E in N Devon are carefully watching and talking to people about use of tractors on red for non agri use
there’ was a big consultation going on about the use of red diesel - it’s on the Treasury and C & E Websites
Actually its a New holland (probably TM150) which is owned by FIAT which also owns IVECO
Come on people get over it, if he has got work good for him, atleast if he is making money its keeping farming in business long enough for the french to finally go down the swanny when finally blair gets the balls to tell them to erm…
Alright, cant think of a polite way to say it.
but when it does finally happen atleast we can stop throwing millions of gallons of milk down the drain to only go and import french & irish milk amongst many other things.

…and in Scotland.
Trucking (July issue) page 90 (Court & Inquiry) reported about a Fastrac that had been confiscated because it was being used unlawfully as per some of the comments above.

Ken.
Yes I know a couple of farmers and whilst they both say there is no money in it, they can still afford a new car and 4x4, and new tractors for about £100k each ever 5 year or so.
What’s the difference between farmers and hauliers…or any other business for that matter ■■?
Why don’t the hauliers get subcidised by the EU as the farmers do ?
With all the foreign lorries coming in with lower running costs pricing UK hauliers off the marked, surely we have the same arguement as the farmers did when they got all their EU money secured.
I think you’ll find that the main difference is that, in the main, the hauliers are not part of the counrty land owning set, as a lot of MP’s and Lords are, hence there was a lot of looking after your own going on. Anyway, Idon’t want to be subcidised, just a fair crack of the whip will do.

WROTE RALLIE SPORT
I am sure many of you would agree that he has got work for it because he can do it for probably half the rate a haulier can do it for he already owns the tractor and trailor for agri purposes so all this is a big bonus he can run it on red deisel no tacho no operators licence no mot a 17 year old can drive it
i know that vosa can be a bit harsh or cruel but they set the rules to create or try to create a level playing field in the haulage industrie and it is a very cut throat industrie anyway so if someone comes in with a tractor and trailor and does it for half the rate thats fair is it no he should stick to the purpose it is designed for agriculture
It looks to me like ford [new holland]7840
