Excel

How do i stop this ■■■■ program from rounding up number, ie i put £8.50 in and click off the box and it changes it to £9, it doesnt do it on all the rows, and the help topic on it isnt alot of use.

Hi Gurner

You sould have an increase Decimal option in the options on one of the toolbars just highjlight the box you need and click to increase, should resolve the issue

The best way and to make it happen for cells that you haven’t yet entered any data in Gurner isto highlight the cell or cells you want to show the pence in and then choose Format - Cells (or press CTRL and 1) then choose the ‘Number’ tab on the box that opens. Second option down the list is Number and you can set the number of decimal places you want to show there. If you want it shown with the pound sign choose the third option down the list - Currency.

Hope that helps.

Yes… coffee is right. You have to change each cell and I think that you have to make it a minus (in the red rather than in the black) you have to right click on the cell in question, and then click on format cells. Under the number tab the currency will be highlighted and the decimal place should be set to 2.

Just agreeing with everyone else really, you can use number or currency to do what you want. or you can use custom and enter anything you want it to show.

Thanks for the replys, now works a treat
