You will probably find the templates are stored elsewhere on your hard drive as well. do a file search for “templates” open the folders and see if the files you are trying to delete are there, select them and delete them again. making sure you delete hidden files too
I found trying to use the office template was harder than making my own, The template is already set up as a demonstration and the cells and the sheet is protected. It is also formatted in US language and styles.
If you mean the list of most recently used files under the File menu try this. After you have deleted the files click on the link under the File menu and it won’t be able to find the file and should then remove it from the list of recently used files.
I seem to recall Excel templates are XLT. If you open the document, then “Save As” a template, then you can put this in the templates folder…
Then again, I think this has already been answered… Hmm, I’ll go back to sleep…

Sorry runaroudtel but editing your post to remove the original question strikes me as being rather selfish. Just because you have received an answer and are finished with the thread what about people who may have the same problem, now they won’t know if the problem you had matched theirs. A forum is for the sharing of information not just about taking, it may also have been helpful if you posted what the solution to your problem was so others may benefit.
Sorry if it appears I am having a go at you biut if everybody deleted their question after they received an answer there would be little point in the forums.
It wasn’t my intention to be selfish … honestly guv. You might not believe me but I had good reasons for doing so. I don’t delete my postings normally and wouldn’t do it as a matter of course, but on this ocassion I had my reasons, and unfortunately I can’t post those reasons here.
