In fact if you look at this guys pictures collection here on Flickr there are plenty of old UK motors running around Indonesia including Morrison’s, Stobarts and Malcolm of Brookfield.
moomooland: Plenty of ex Innovate Volvo’s are now earning their keep in Indonesia.

Just looked through his photos. I love the one of the little ex Carlsberg Volvo FL6 urban artic pulling a 40ft container. I wouldn’t think its capable of pulling loaded ones but you never know what they make trucks do in those parts of the world.

It wouldn,t surprise me if when you looked at the photos of trucks working in these countries you find one thats been nicked from over here, like the 2 on top of the pro drivers page
Ady Williams:
Was innovate something to do with Pete Osborne ?
Yes was something to with Pete Osbourne he is now at the Green Group ,His F16 is locked in a barn somewhere
If I’m not mistaken it was a 3 way thing with Pete Osbourne, Macfarlens and Corby Chilled?
I got told on friday that pete osbourne and greene group have parted company, dont know how true it is but pete dunt seem to hang about at firms too long
Ghost01:
I can remember these when we got them new, i was the 1st person to driver 1 out our depot
What was the story ghost on them not having ramps on the fifth wheel, always seemed strange too me too spec top range trucks and then skimp on some ramps
peirre:
They insisted you use the air suspension when picking up and dropping trailers, negating the need for ramps
Yes Pierre I remember that, but it still seemed penny pinching too me too top spec trucks then skimp on the ramps,if it saved lots of money you would of thought the big firms with 1,000,s of trucks would be doing it,but can’t remember seeing many,or maybe I haven’t looked hard enough.
If I was told right when stobarts took over they were going too take on all those volvos as they were in the main pretty much new,but when told what innovate were paying for them ran a mile, sent them back and ordered there own trucks,so if true it wasn’t as though innovate were trying too save every penny on the price of the trucks .

No lead up ramps and painted wings was a bit daft on a fleet that size. The back half of many trucks looked like black and orange chess boards, but at least Volvo’s paintshops were busy…
