Missed one yesterday I turned right at the top of Birdlip instead of straight over heading for the A40 but rectified pretty quickly at 05.00 am so I didn’t embarrass myself too much.
But i feel for the old couple especially the wife as it must of worried her to death .
Poor old sausage, I bet his mrs did her nut.
He didn’t mess up by half there’s 30+ miles between them

Yeah once on the 635 heading to Stalybridge missed my turn and headed straight down 635 for the next 6 miles to the next roundabout to spin it around, was across tea time so didn’t want to be a ■■■■ and block everywhere while trying to get car drivers to understand I’m wanting to turn it around we all know what they’re like lol,
Yeah, tipped at Tesco RSU at Peterborough Friday evening and missed the A47 turn off so carried on up the A15 until at my house for the night. Would you believe there was nowhere to bloody turn around in all that distance!
Yep turning for north bound Gretna green services , had to drive to Lockerbie truck stop instead

I missed a junction on motorway in Germany once. Next exit was 60km away! 120km for a missed turning!

I don’t recall seeing that video. Do you have a link?
I wanted to go straight over the M6 at J19 to Northwich on the A556 once and in a daydream accidentally went southbound. Safe to say I hit a traffic jam and it was 45 minutes till I reached J18.
I was late for my delivery but nobody noticed!!

Dunno if its an apocryphal story, but wasn
t there an old guy who went around the M25 a couple of times before finding his turnoff?

OK so it`s the Mail, but it does give Police sources so should be more accurate than some other stories.

Of course this didn’t happen. He made it up for the sake of adding to the thread. He is a driving God. He even got name checked by that potato headed greeting faced prick that started crying about trucker Jay.
I once took a wrong turn in Hull - A city I’d not been to before.
My brother and I have not spoken since, as I was then late for his “lock-out” wedding.
He thought I must have done it on purpose, because as a pro driver - “How was it possible for me to ■■■■ up that badly?”
Simple: I was told to follow another guest car to the wedding venue - no one could be bothered to tell me the actual address of the venue, despite me asking.
All it took was losing the lead car at a roundabout - and I was stuck, no phone, no address, no venues to go to.
I’ve never darkened the doors of that damned city again since - needless to say.
The family rift that my “wrong turn” instigated - is now in it’s eight year as of this month.
I wonder if I was just the guest whom would normally be planned to be “kept at the back”. My brother said as much of me in 2008, accusing me of “inverted snobbery”.
Well, I never went to Uni, never learned the dark arts of shafting other people to get ahead, nor stealing other men’s wives, nor poaching other guy’s jobs, or even getting rid of people from entire departments.
I don’t have the fruits that normally go with a better intellect - but I have my pride. I’ll probably live longer doing something that absorbs me rather than bores me silly, and the pay - can be good enough if you look around for it.
