‘A mate’ saw a job advertised back in November, Class 1 driver at a local firm, happy days.
Applied, called in for a driving assessment, had 2 interviews, and then told there will be a pre employment medical, inbetween the interview and medical a phone call to ask whether ‘my mate’ would be alright if the terms changed and it maybe more warehouse based, Contract came through the post saying Driver/Warehouse on temporary contract and temp contracts do not go over 12 months,
This set alarm bells as why would you leave a perm job to go temp, rings up and the TM said that it was how the company starts and if theres no issues you just get continuation of service.
The job is there, but the further on the process has gone the more doubts ‘my mate’ is having.
What happened to the good old days of “Thats the job, Thats the money”
