Even Polish MP's are coming to the UK

Polish MP Artur Debski ‘lives as migrant’ in UK

A Polish MP is living on a low budget and searching for a job in London as he seeks to understand why so many young Poles move to the UK.

Artur Debski, of opposition party Your Movement, said the migration trend was a “dangerous” problem for Poland.

Speaking to the BBC while travelling to a job centre, he said he would stay for up to two weeks to learn about Britain.

He said a Polish woman had offered him a “small room” for Monday night but he had “no reservations” after that.
‘Honest’ job search

Asked what sort of job he hoped to find, he said he did not know.

“It’s not very easy,” he added.

He said he would be honest about his situation when applying for jobs.

Mr Debski, who arrived on a budget airline flight and plans to live on £100 a week, said he wanted to understand why it was “not possible” for Poland to keep its young workers rather than losing them to the UK.

“It is very dangerous for Poland,” he said.

He said he must find the answers to “many questions” and must “think about this problem” during his time in the UK.

Hundreds of thousands of Poles have come to the UK since Poland joined the European Union in 2004.

The 2011 census found there were 579,000 Polish-born people living in the UK - a 10-fold increase from 10 years earlier.

I have a gut feeling that there might be “one or two” more than the government would like us to know about.

At least the politician is trying to find out why they are coming here with a view to try and reduce the exodus (my view on his trip). Pity our politicians don’t do the same thing for us drivers. Come out and spend a week with us and they will see how poor the vast majority of the facilities we have are and the shocking shortage of safe and suitable parking available to us.

Top marks to the polish mp.

Lol just one or two I am guessing also, if there was an armed forces call up this country would be emptier than a chippy with no chips.

Lets hope he finds out how many benefits they are getting, Child benefit, housing benefit, working tax credit, etc, etc, then he will realise why theyre all coming here, instead of earning £50 a week back in Poland, and if he thinks he can survive on £100 a week, hes in for a big shock.

I wonder what would happen if he went along to Westminster and said;

“I am MP. Poland qualified. Will be MP here for minimum wage and council house.”?

Or he could open a car wash on College Green, over the road from the Houses of Parliament.

This is nothing new, the reasons are well known by many, why now…? Poland is already benefiting from it, it’s people are spending/sending what they’ve earned here back home. Look at Ireland, youngsters are just a scapegoat, no one really gives a zb!
