Evans Transport

Can anyone tell me anything about this firm, wages conditions etc…IIRC there is at least 1 member on here who works for them.

Been making some calls today and have a possibility of a job there

re:evans chap in my local up here in the midlands works for them and has done for a while he does’nt mention money but say’s if you don’t mind what you do they are ok to work for not all kit is new but it’s kept up together apparently. heard bryans had called it aday spoke to bob jeffries last week he was on his way back when he found out good luck with your job hunting.

They seem to be a good outfit…
Anyway, if push comes to the shove couldnt you go back bus driving for a bit?

Was Bob Jeffries still on with PJ?? :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

He must have been there forever!!! He took me on my first mentor trip with them in the early 90’s, and he introduced me to the ever famous Abdul…

If you mean JT Evans then Jimmy is a good egg, and I always got on well with Ian although I didn’t see him often. Decent kit and they like it kept right.

If you mean the other Evans, the green Evans, then they always seemed to be decent. Never quite understood why they took on Tuckers though…

I went up evans (green evans) yard the other day at the franck tucker M.A.N place.
I might see you about a bit more if you work for them  as i always see there trucks going around okehampton and exeter.

Just to Clarify, it is “green” Evans I am refering to

Thanks for that Rikki, that does sound interesting

Use to see the brick/block guys all the time running out of Aggregate Industries in Erith but when the work dried up (last time I went there was early 2009) they dissappeared back down the west country, now they’ve bought seymours looks like we may see them again.
