You’re not them, I’m not you. Jobs some don’t like others may love. When I got sent by the agency to Sugarich to do waste food skips and compactors you’re right in thinking I really didn’t want to do it but as there was sod all else I went. Turned out to be a real peach of a job, was given a 2 week old Scannie, you were given your list of collections and just left alone and it was far from rushing. Also came with some nice unexpected perks and it wasn’t long before you got used to the smell. Best part is because everyone turned it down without trying there was all the work I wanted.

I’ve met people who love doing Tesco RDC store deliveries, not my kettle of fish. What I’d do would bore the socks off some.

Go in with an open mind, see what it’s like. Judge it for yourself using your own set of values, not those of others. You can always hand in your notice and go somewhere else.

Sound bit of advice. Never understand why people don’t just try it for themselves and see. I actually work for EV cargo out of a depot down South. Been to the Leeds one a few times. But have no idea what that depot is like to work out of. So did’nt reply to him.

I worked for them, other side of the bridge. My main job was out off InBev, which to be fair, was a decent enough number, day or night shifts, and a decent enough planning team. But as it was dedicated and somewhat specialised (keg trailers), 99% was one or two deliveries, and straight back.

On the occasions that I did some General for the depot down the road, it was a different kettle of fish. Planned for 14 hours 50 minutes, or, begrudgingly, 12 hours 58 minutes :sunglasses: . Only did a few trailer swaps in Leeds, but attitude of office was borderline aggressive. The reputation of Leeds is well known, and for a reason. Gloucester is staffed by teenaged pointy shoes, who treat drivers like children.

The O.P. asked a simple question. Do they work you into the ground. I gave a simple answer. Yes, they do. Having said that, you are right. The only way to find put, is to try. :exclamation:

The Mule is correct.

A gigantic pile of gash…

(Ronnie Wallace is the driver trainer at Morley and he’s a decent bloke though to be fair).

If anyone gives advice on companies and jobs, its a bit like google reviews of things. Take it with a pinch of salt and try it out for yourself, worst scenario is you will hate it and leave. Best scenario is you may love it. Different strokes for different folks an all that.

Yeah defo. My last lot gave an awful rep locally. Pretty sure most drivers in the area have been through it at some point. The pay was rubbish (but has improved a fair bit), but actually I quite enjoyed it.

Having said that, compared to what I do now I wouldn’t go back unless I had no choice  but I soukd go back there ahead of working at other places.
