I bought it for me and my wee lad, he loves it.
Same as driving a real truck (NOT) the hours are the same, you can make the driver fall asleep at the wheel LOL. Time mode is accelerated thank god, 3 days to do Italy LMAO at the computer im sorry but I can find better ways to spend 3 days.
I think it is ok my wee boy loves it, he spent the summer running to Italy with me so it makes him want to do it when he grows up 
I need to get Virtual Doctor, or Virtual Pilot for him to play and steer him away from truck driving and keep me in the lifestyle I want to become accousomed to!!!

What youve never done italy in 3 days? I could tell you a story or two one in particular springs to mind Trieste to sheffield 29 hours 
IMHO, the ETS is incredibly boring compared to perhaps any 18WoS.
All roads are the same - 3 lane motorway, all junctions are the same, landscape barely changes…
On the other hand, it’s a bit more realistic - traffic lights timing, distance travelled more proportional to driving speed, fatigue is far more realistic etc. There’s also more cars and it seems to me they behave more realistically. Overtaking is not as easy, just like in real life.
But you do not need to stop on Swiss borders…
As said, several good improvements made, more realistic but boring - there should be more variability!
