Hey guys, I am just about set up with a small firm to do regular trips out to France and Belgium. I have acquired a small transit as they only employ owner drivers. Can anybody recommend a company who could recover my European VAT?? Any Idea of what rates they are charging you guys? Thank you. 
TMF VAT Services, Brighton, telephone 0870 067 8881, was 8% when I joined, don’t know if it has changed, been with them a while, had no problems, easy to deal with too.
Servitir, vat recovery, toll boxes, essential user rebate.

I’ve been thinking the same as well, seems to be following the same route as batty batista, first asking about working in the UK on euro then working for an irish company now he’s going self employed

as24 recover the vat on your behalf. you simply get an invoice minus the vat.
Years ago i used a reclaim service then my accountant said i can do that and with the truck and then with my van where i used to sometimes sleep accross the seats he took care of all, for my european customers i never added vat but all in it worked out ok for now but mr vat man always welcome to come find me
i used a firm in denmark called nord trans services (nts) thay were very good paid it in 28 days minus a small commision if u call them thay speake perfect english and are very helpfull
Just got the ball rolling with Servitir. Had a discussion with the UK manager who personally talked me through each of their invoices and showed me how transparent they are. Brilliant bunch of guys!
