europe and vat

i hope this is the right forum.

a bit of back ground info, im a ltd vat reg company freelance driver.

now if i work for a european company what would happen about my vat

Your invoice will be zero rated for vat but must show your eu customers vat or equivalent number.
You file this in your vat return as normal.

Must be planning on earning mega money to be bothered to register for vat, just hassle for little reward

Not if you’re working as a freelance driver using the flat rate VAT scheme it isn’t. It’s free money if you do that. I did it for years and it’s effectively the same as putting 7% on your rates just for spending half an hour once every 3 months doing the VAT return.

And if you have big enough balls you can eventually get your Limited Company struck off
and keep lots of Corporation Tax and VAT for yourself instead of giving it away for the
government to waste. :open_mouth:
