Eurofoods Sunderland

Hi Everyone.

Eurofoods are advertising for class 2 drivers on a 44 hour week @£9 an hour with no overnights.

Does anyone have any experience of these guys or have any anecdotal information about what they’re like to work for?

If you’d rather not post it please by all means inbox me.

I sent them a cv earlier and within 15 minutes they were on the phone offering me an interview tomorrow.

I’m currently back on the coaches at the moment and looking to move back over to HGV, but before I jump I want to make sure I’m making the right jump.

Their website is slightly out of date as I queried the wage given on universal jobmatch and they emailed back saying wage is indeed £9 and no overnights run from the Sunderland yard.

Any help/ advice on these guys most welcome.

Guessing lots of handballing wee boxes out of a fridge truck to MANY destinations…■■?

They sound desperate if they rang you within 15 MINUTES of getting your CV!!!

Wonder why… Who may have just quit - and WHY■■?

Go for the interview - but with your eyes wide open!

Thanks Goldfinger, wise words indeed, and all questions that have gone through my head.
Their Ad states driver(s) maybe they’re looking for more than one.
But the rapidity of the response has certainly piqued my questioning mind!!!
Anyone else with any info?

They are based in Newport and one of the lads at my place worked for them, he told me its proper hard graft all the stuff is handball and the customers expect the stuff in the kitchen which means up and down flights of stairs carrying a 25 litre drum of cooking oil in each hand or sack of rice on your shoulder with many of the customers being rude and unpleasant.

The wnkers are offering 7 quid an hour on their website for class 2!!! eurofoods.co.uk/CareersInTransport2.html

Getting ordered around by a load of curry house owners all day…sounds fun. Might get a free ruby now and then though.

Evil8Beezle probably thinks that’s good justification for paying for his new category C entitlement.

Cheers Chaps!!
I think I’ll stick to my term time schools bus for now!!!
Your advice is much appreciated! !!!
Drivers in the Peterlee area- that white coach that always flashes you out and stops the traffic for you is probably me !!!

It has been on the job boards for some time now. Asda is another along with fowler welch and Heron foods. All you need to ask yourself is why?

Copart!!

There’s another place always advertising.
It does make me wonder why their staff turnover is so high.
