euro work

hi to all, anyboby know anything about erfl at hull, r they a good co to work for, wots money like, how long away etc, cheers howard

Hi Howard

All i can tell you is E.R.F. was owned and run by J.D.Riby (think he sold up) and as I understand running it know is Jeremy Blakey
I J Blakey’s son and Dominic Yeardley which was Brian Yeardleys (stepson) correct me if I am wrong, and others
They used to operate from Wincolmee down by the river Hull but operate or there office is down Woodhall st
Off Hedon Road in Hull.
My brother ships out with them frequently and to be fair has not heard any bad stories from there Drivers.
There Kit all seems to be more than reasonable also.

Hope this Helps

thanks h

hey, i used to work at erfl when dave owned it, at that time, they did mostly italy and spain, italy was 90% cow and sheep hides down to arzignano, heavey, smelly and messy, but good honest work, backloads were either groupage, marble, steel or combi boilers (a class A reload!) spain was general down, and tiles back, i left befor dom yeardley bought it from the old man, so dont know what eu stuff theyre doing now, but i think he got rid of the magnums and others units as he was a big fan of the stralis, money wise, it would depend on how long you were away, two weeks would net you about £450-500 in your bank, but i prefered doin 6 week stints, as your worst two weeks were the first and last, in between you got weekend money, so it would average out at around £550-600 a week, plus im not a big fan of uk roads n traffic, they say on there website that they are allways on the look out for good drivers, so give em a call, it cant hurt, go straight to the top and ask to speak to dom, hes a decent enough bloke and knows his stuff, web site is www.erfl.co.uk, good luck with it :grimacing:
