Euro VI Atego

First details here.

New cab, engines, transmissions etc.

What do you think?

I thought the Antos was going to be the new 4 wheeler option?

Antos is 17-tonnes and up (like a DAF CF, I suppose), while the Atego Euro VI is 6.5 to 16 tonnes.

I guess the Atego will be lighter, so it would be interesting to see how payloads compare for a 16 t Atego and a 17 tonne Antos.

Antos ? Whats the arocs then. Getting confusing merc now haha

In uk we tend to use 7.5 Ton, 12 Ton, 18 Ton 26 Ton 32 ton ridged trucks

other weight will be for special operations

Antos replaces the ‘road’ versions of the Axor. There seem to be two different families of Antos: one for high volume/low weight (little wheels, low chassis) cargo and the other for low volume/high weight.

Arocs replaces the construction and on/off highway versions of the Axor and Actros. Again there are two families: one for max payload and the other for off-road mobility (6x6s etc)
