there are 2 answers to this one…how do they work you ask !!..well sometimes i phone up the wife to say i will be home tonight…put your suzies on could be spelt with 2 zs but she does what shes told anyway…
BUT SERIOUSLY
Answer number 2 is there are no distinction between air lines or suzies between the u.k and europe…there are however an air line connector called a palm coupling mostly used on french trailers…just put your hands together then twist them sideways and that is exactly how they work…good luck
have a nice day

Make sure you get the palms the correct way round, Becuase I’ve manged to connect the service line to the emergency connecter and visa versa. I was then surprised I didn’t go anyway.
The other connection I’ve used is on Scandinavian trailers. both airlines are connect to the same box and then clipped into place by a lever. Not a very good explanation, but you’ll work it out as soon as you see it.

cheers guys, if the french can work it out it cant be that difficault

I’ve seen those Scandinavian couplings in this country. Tibbettt & Britten’s Fashion Logistics/Spectrum had them on their drawbar units.

Palm connectors are a pain in the backside, they always seem to be connected to the flimsiest bit of metal on the trailer. A Greek Agent in Athens couldn’t understand why we used a different type of connection to that of the rest of Europe - I prefer our connectors anytime!

the greek agent was probably upset that they weren’t any good if he nicked them as they could not be used, i bet he fancied the side marker lights though.
there are the palm couplings and something called a pn connector, the pn connector is one plug on the trailer and both lines go to a male coupling and that fits to the trailer and is locked in place by a loop type bar, very similar to a tail lift connector, i have only ever seen these on swedish trailers.
palm couplings are easy once you get used to the idea, they push in the turn to lock, quite often they leak though, the rubber seals tend to break down after a while, some grease normally cures this for a while.
