Does anyone send Rigids from the UK to do European work or is 99% of it done by artics?
i work for a removal company that does france spain an portugal an we only send artics but other removal companys send rigids and i see quite a few other companys also sending them
David Dale removals at Boroughbridge nr York run rigids and drags on Spanish and other euro work -they sometimes advertise for drivers and mates in our local rag.
He is running a Daf SSC and a Man XXL wagon and drags as well as the usaul Fords and ERF’s
Theres a firm in Dover,eurofret■■? dont quote me on that,but they got about 5 or 6 rigids that do euro only. White iveco cab blue curtainsider.
Car Transport, Removals, Fish Farms and many others use rigids to do Europe.
I use to ship through Immingham and there was always a lad on there with a 6 wheel rigid fridge
just phoned david dale enquiring about a driving vacancy i said i have my c/e his first question was have you done furniture i replied no he then said goodbye end of not how long i have driven for have i european experience etc etc good luck anyone else who applies

Some express company doing that, but they mostly are using 7.5 tonners…

I think it’s fair to say that 99% of it is done by artics, from my experience on the ferry at least.
What about around the east mids for a rigid around europe… i hav been looking around for about 8 months now and hav tried just about everything and e-mailed alot of componys that say they do europe, and so far hav had no luck.

Most of the Brits i see abroad are artics, and any Rigid’s i see tend to be Plain white cabbed with Plain Blue curtains(Rental vehicles maybe?)
I did see one of Priority Freight’s CF’s this week in Belgium though,
