Does anyone send Rigids from the UK to do European work or is 99% of it done by artics?

David Dale removals at Boroughbridge nr York run rigids and drags on Spanish and other euro work -they sometimes advertise for drivers and mates in our local rag.
He is running a Daf SSC and a Man XXL wagon and drags as well as the usaul Fords and ERF’s
Theres a firm in Dover, eurofret■■? dont quote me on that, but they got about 5 or 6 rigids that do euro only. White iveco cab blue curtainsider.
Car Transport, Removals, Fish Farms and many others use rigids to do Europe.
I use to ship through Immingham and there was always a lad on there with a 6 wheel rigid fridge

I think it’s fair to say that 99% of it is done by artics, from my experience on the ferry at least.
What about around the east mids for a rigid around europe… i hav been looking around for about 8 months now and hav tried just about everything and e-mailed alot of componys that say they do europe, and so far hav had no luck.
just thought id ask cin as you were on the subject!!
Most of the Brits i see abroad are artics, and any Rigid’s i see tend to be Plain white cabbed with Plain Blue curtains(Rental vehicles maybe?)
I did see one of Priority Freight’s CF’s this week in Belgium though,
Emtep logistics in Ilkeston are looking for a class 2 driver for european work.
Not the best wage in the world though… 17,500 salary
If anyones interested i
ll try and find the number in my local paper
