Euro Driving Wages

Just wondering, what’s the average wage can someone expect to earn on euro work per week clear?

Not knowing what UK drivers are on these days, I’d say probably the same as or even in some cases a little lower. You’d be looking at between £450-£600 take home pw. I await to be corrected though, but the big money is long gone…

S&K Int at Barry pay £260 per week basic, then bonus on top.My last idiot i worked for was £500 cash in hand, dodgy ghost tachos.he pays the fines.

Id say unless your doing big weeks at a time (IE 3wks +) then the money should be the same as working at home? If your doing UK tramping work, Sun-Fri/Sat then you dont exactly get any extra to say a man who does 9-5 driving?? So why do guys/gals doing euro work expect to get more?

When i wa running italy double manned two trips a week i was earning £522 w/k take home.

I expect to earn between £500-£600 a week while running european i dont do it for the money i do it because i enjoy it i like the better facilities and the quieter roads

We get exactly the same as in the UK, although we too all would far rather be on the continent than doing a week of UK work.

£550P/W CLEAR MONEY THERE EVERY FRI EXPENSE PAID     :open_mouth: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Thanks to everyone, letting me know what kind of wages are reasonable.

Whoa… Hold up… Who said the money is reasonable  There’s a huge difference between reasonable a realistic. Reasonable would be £100 per day “basic” and at least £50 per day on top of that for night out allowance and expenses. So reasonable would be a take home in the region of £800 to £900 per week.

Scotchbaz in the words of your signature"!0% of truck drivers are living in cloud cookoo land "£800-£900 take home i doubt even a OD would earn that over the water these days. :grimacing:

With the rates being offered these days for European haulage most O/D’s would struggle to take a decent wage home after covering costs, I say most because those with specialist ‘jobs’ of their own & not working for other hauliers or forwarders can still earn a good crust.

Ross.

Dessy, read my post again, there’s a gulf between what’s realistic and what’s reasonable (realistic being what we actually get whereas reasonable being what we should get). :sunglasses:
