When purchasing German Maut The ratings are from Euro 1 to Euro 5

you can’t go through the mont blanc or frejus with euro 0 so euro 2 not banned yet.

not banned just a lot more expensive, the lower the euro the more the cost of the tunnel

He would be wrong then.
look here
1,031 Euro 1 trucks passed through the tunnel last year,
18,379 Euro 2 trucks,
321,548 Euro 3
73,074 Euro 4
119,518 Euro 5
The cost one way from france to Italy is
Euro 2, 3 or 4 €127,10
Euro 1 €134,40 so it costs about £7 more for Euro 1

2011 prices can be found here (Euro 1 can no longer use the tunnels from 01/01/11)

Many thanks for info

Wont complain about the Severn Bridge ever again

Thats not artic prices for blanc /frejus alot more expensive

ive got blanc/frejus tunnel card and pay £175gbp each way goes up £8.50gbp from january

its over 200 euros now if pay at tunnel eacheway wheather you pay cash credit card or fuel card
slightly cheaper if you buy a return but have to use it within 15 days

the blanc frejus cards the cheapest option

Still a bloody rip off

and if you use blanc with a fridge got to pay aprox 100 euros each way ■■■■■■ as they class it as over width
so use frejus all the time no restrictioon with a fridge

thats for a euro 4 aswell

That’s because a fridge IS over-width for the Blanc.
It was built (dug?) a long time ago, when the width limit was 2.5m.
Everyone increased their standard C/U regs width to 2.55m a few years ago, to allow a bit of manoeuvring space for pallets inside that width. They also increased the outside width for reefers to 2.6m, to allow for the thickness of insulation as well.
They couldn’t dig the Blanc wider, to allow for that extra bit of width though. Construction costs on top of those repair costs would be much more than the extra €100 per reefer if they had.

I used the Blanc a few times, not long after it re-opened, with a curtainsider. I had to restack my load if there were any bulges, or pay the extra charge for an ■■■■■■. I don’t know if they still inspect curtainsiders for bulging loads any more. Coming from Italy, the inspection point was just after Aosta.

Some cities, or at least parts of them, have a ban for euro 2 or older, some even euro 3. I think euro 3 was banned from Brenner from the beginning of december. I have euro 2, Brenner (Tirol) is the only problem.
