Unelected? I voted for mine, why didn’t you vote?

Well i never voted for the Kinnocks or Blairs who seem to be doing just fine on the Euro MP gravy train .

Neither of those two are, or ever have been, Euro MPs, still never let the facts get in the way of a bit of failed propaganda, eh?

Buzzer:
What will be the consequences if the outcome at the end of the day is not what we voted for, At the moment I just have a snicky feeling we are going to be sold down the river, what do you all think Buzzer

That was a foregone conclusion from the moment when remainers May and Hammond took over from Cameron and Osborne and then sabotaged Brexit from that point to date and obviously beyond. There’s only one way we were ever going to really leave the EU and that would have been if the Queen had done her job by sending in the military to impeach Heath for treason.Let alone allowing the signing of all the following treaties.Instead of which we had Farage telling the Leave vote to trust May to deliver Brexit let alone supposed Conservative Leave voters admiring Thatcher and her policies.

I think you`ll find Kinnock and his family have been heavily involved and financed by the EU and this from a man who wanted to leave europe quite a few years ago, as for Blair he was anchoring for a top job but never got there. He would have been an ideal candidate with his unquestionable talent for telling lies

I don’t need to find anything, I know what Kinnock was and what he wasn’t. Just asking you to get your facts right, you said that Euro MPs aren’t elected. They are. More Brexiteer fake news and propaganda. That’s all.

No he said that no one voted for Kinnock or Blair in their respective roles on the unelected EU gravy train along with the commissioner politburo. It’s obvious that the reference to that being part of the nationally elected, but equally nationally powerless
,Federal MEP circus, was an obvious small mistake not fake news or propaganda. When its Blair’s unelected Federalist elite and its mouthpiece the laughably Biased Broadcasting Corporation which are the experts in that regard.Which in this case translates as keep voting until they get the answer they want if not derail the Brexit process until the corrupt anti nation state parliament can reverse the decision.Just as Blair’s Federalist ally Cameron always planned in the unlikely event that remain ( let’s call it what it really is Federalist European Faction F.A.F ) lost bearing in mind the state funded Remain campaign and government remain vote recommendation.

Latest news Portugal’s foreign minister Santos is preparing now to side line Michell Barnier and do its own deal with Britain as it fears as things are there economy will suffer greatly by up to 26% so is this also the feeling within other EU countries also, lets hope so as Barnier is not going to give us naff all so lets go with no deal as its best for us, Buzzer.

I have a good pall in business in Portugal, been there about 12 years and is very interested in its politics, speakss and reads it well.
She is convinced Portugal is quietly doing a deal with the uk as we speek and that Spain is as well.
General feeling the EU, as we know it, will implode unless a good deal is done and a lot of people think it will anyway. Harvey

On a sidenote, presuming that we all accept the basis that we,(whether be British/Irish/German),or whatever, vote for our MEPs.So,Britain has X amount, according to their population,Ireland has Y, so on so forth. The top dogs,Barnier,Juncker et al. Who elects them? The MEPs who have already been elected nationally?
Presuming they don`t just walk in and say, thats my job thank you.
Just asking.

Ive never voted or for that matter had the chance to vote for a Euro MP , maybe its the north south divide again , leave the northerners out of it they may speak their minds and we don’t want that . Kinnock his wife and son were/are all on the EU payroll. If that’s the standard of candidate well you can keep your vote ,I would definitely abstain.

Snap “ramone” I’ve never voted for an MEP plus I couldn’t tell you who represents this part of the UK ! But IMHO it is not a matter of “if” but “when” the EU will implode and the Euro will go down the toilet, which is why based on all the undercurrent and agg that is currently engulfing the EU are supposedly sensible Elder Politicians like Ken Clark and Lord Heseltine so vehemently opposed to Brexit ! It looks like there is a right ■■■■ storm brewing in Italy about what is being imposed on them by the EU ( Germany) . But the Eyties are a different go to work than the Greeks and I believe they could be the next to either leave or place an intolerable strain on the whole ■■■■■ heap that is the EU ! Buzzer’s right because him and me could sort the job out in a couple of weeks tops I reckon ! No deal is looking like the best outcome rather than all this ■■■■■ footing about by Mother Teresa and her Civil Service “refuseniks” that are basically ■■■■■■■ Remainers but haven’t got the ■■■■■■■ backbone to stand up and be counted ! Cheers Dennis.

To be fair UKIP has the largest amount of MEP’s because the EU parliament is based on a superior PR voting system. On that basis we’d be better off remaining and going for a Confederal Europe with the AfD which would provide the National MEP groups with the national right of opt out.As opposed to handing the agenda back to the pro Federalist EU quislings who run the UK parliament which is all that Farage’s pointless referendum has done.

You’ve got a point Whiplash, I, and many others have never denied that the EU needs reform, but the answer is not to chuck the baby out with the bathwater, but to stay, campaign and work to put things right.

As for those who don’t vote, and then seek to impose their views on those who do, nothing more to be said.

Or maybe we should pay more in increase immigration and take on more ridiculous laws which they seem to keep on imposing on us without a say sounds good to me , not sure if I should be giving my opinion seeing as I didn`t vote for any of these lunatics “we elected”

That sounds like the best answer to me Ramone then when we are absolutely knackered and the country has gone bust and the Queen has to live in a tent and we all start jumping on boats and sailing to the African countries because life will be much more palatable living there with no running water and no food and no national health and no politicians on gravy trains, but at least it will get rid of the dole mongers and all those others who are claiming benefits cos there too bloody lazy to get there asses out of bed and go to work. Why don’t we just give our country to Germany, we may as well cos there running it at the moment that way we can get rid of parliament as well. Do I sound cynical, dam right I do just about had enough of this whole sodding charade, lets just tell the EU to stick it where the sun don’t shine, get down and get busy and we will see who the winner is, Buzzer.

Or you stand for election as head of a new party called the Common Sense Party … dont bother you would be branded for talking sense

'Bout right Buzzer. F*@k 'em. They’re only trying to save face before the house of cards falls down and the gravy dries up in order to discourage any wannabe exiteers that want to follow the trail blazers and sign up for a lucrative deal direct with the UK!
Anyone listen to the Nigel Farage show on LBC, 6pm every week night? He don’t dodge any questions.

Gazzer according to Laura Keansburg she has had inside info from someone very close to the machinery and says that on Tuesday Mother Theresa is going to ask her cabinet to sign up to her deal or she is going to quit, roll on Wednesday, Buzzer.

It’s obvious that so called remainers ( in reality dictatorial undemocratic Soviet style Federalists ) won’t accept anything which would ‘reform’ Europe along the lines of a Confederation of Sovereign States in which the national MEP groups have the powers to act according to their respective national mandates. As opposed to unelected commissioners using a foreign vote to rubber stamp and impose their decisions across national boundaries against the democratic wishes of the national vote and mandate.

Given this is the Old Timers section, maybe an honourable mention here for ITMA and the catchphrase of Mona Lott…
“It`s being so cheerful as keeps me going”!
