Oh FFS . . . now we’ve got to live through another six months of this ■■■■.
It will probably end two days before the end of October with her going back to Brussels to ask for another extension. We will not have moved forward one inch. This crew have been headless chickens for nearly three years now. Are we really expecting them to make any progress in six months?
(No, Ramone, I DON’T know what’s going to happen. Just an opinion ok?)

Are there? I’m not one of them. I just want the whole thing cancelled. It’s a waste of time and money.
Won’t be too happy if she breaks her promise to take us out though, because a promise is a promise. (What’s a politicians promise worth eh?) 17 million people voted Leave in a non-binding vote, and, with a level of stupidity only the Tories are capable off, she promised to see it through. So now she has to.
■■■■ knows how much this has cost already. It’s just pouring good money after bad. But, they’ve gone this far, they have to finish it.

But throwing billions every year at the EU for the privilege of being ruled by a foreign power and spending billions more on importing stuff we can make for ourselves is so much better.
As for cancelling Brexit it was obviously cancelled the day after Cameron’s bent referendum couldn’t be rigged well enough because of the mountain of leave votes.

Such as?
“Such as?”
And who is going to buy home produced goods?
Does C.F. propose raising duties on imported goods so high that we’ll have to reopen the Leyland RoadTrain production line? That won’t help us. It’ll just mean ALL industry will suffer as goods are transported on worse trucks. Leyland didn’t close because of a plot, it closed because foreign trucks were better. Ask Buzzer and Bewick, they were buying them.
This Brexit isn’t about raising trade barriers, as much as C.F. wants it to be; it’s about dropping even more of them. ReesMogg, and Gove et al aren’t about protectionism, they are rampant free marketeers. They don’t care if the UK has more unemployment provided the GDP goes up! Not enough Polish to pick farmers produce at crap pay rates? No problem, bring in Lithuanian and Vietnamese labour.
C.F. and others may have thought they were voting for a more enclosed UK but that isn’t on the cards. Some think a No Deal Brexit under WTO rules would mean we are free to do as we want, but WTO rules are still RULES! They concern fair trade still, they mean we can’t differentiate between different countries on a whim.
Trade is not a zero sum game.
Trade wars and protectionism doesn’t mean we get to keep a bigger slice of the cake. It means there is a smaller cake and all sides get less.
Edit to add.
Some things C.F. would like to see, a stronger manufacturing base in the UK, I would like to see too, but the Brexit we’re being sold is not going to help out.

The list is endless but to mention 2 products we will have a massive shortage of if we leave with no deal are blood pressure tablets and fertiliser ffs. Whos having who on here .We have to import products we can quite easily produce here but we dont want to upset the EU and of course how would they justify the billions they take off us every year for the privillage
Franglais bet you wont find a farmer in the UK that pays crap money for picking there produce that is simply not the case and I think in most cases there workers are paid good money for what they do, the reason that foreign labour does this work is they have a completely different work ethic to any indigenous UK residents who quite simply are too lazy and get paid vast amounts of cash to stay in bed and do nought, sorry to say you cannot blame them either it is the system that needs radical intervention because when you get third generation dole mongers in a family it has surely gone awry.
As for years gone bye fruit and veg picking was traditionally done by the Romany families but today that has changed, nowadays its mostly Irish and they drive around in high sided pickup’s cutting tree’s and hedges or they go round putting tarmac on drives etc at usually inflated rates and can be intimidating when it comes to paying up, plus they park on private land and litter it with rubbish and excrement a bill which the local councils have to pick up the tab for, these people pay no tax and do not contribute to the system at all we should get tougher with them. In the old days a gypsy family would work on a farm say picking spuds and when they left the only tell tale sign they had been there was a small burn mark in the grass where they had there fire, no rubbish and was always left as they found it shame its not still like that any more, Buzzer

I take it you didn’t see Sky news the other morning Buzzer. There was a woman on saying how badly treated the poor gypsys are. People are racist against them when all they want to do is live a peacefull life going about their business quietly. They just want to be left alone. At that point i turned the tv off.
On a different note if you joined a working mens club many years ago and paid your £20 or so a year subs and you got your beer 50p cheaper than your local pub and you had subsidised trips and were quite happy with it ,then 1 day they decided that more members wanted to join so your subs were going up to £200 a year and these newcomers would only pay £20 would you feel a little annoyed. Simplest way i can put it

The foreign products were ( sometimes ) better BECAUSE of the bleedin plot.Having said that there were others which were actually better including those made by my own employers.
We can’t have the protected ‘stronger manufacturing base in the UK’ without first getting Brexit to free us from the EU single ( free ) market rules and ironically foreign trade policy.Which is anything but protected as our Chinese imports prove.Nor can we do that without making our own national government democratically accountable to the nation’s electorate so when we vote Labour we get Labour. Not Blair’s and Starmer’s exploitative Communist/Corporate hybrid allied to similar minded Conservatives from Heath to May.
As for going along with the status quo.Which part of the word ‘unsustainable’,as related to both our EU contributions and trade deficit bill, don’t you understand.Let me guess as someone who doesn’t live in the country you want to go on inflicting loads more austerity on us to pay for your good life in Euro la la land.Typical Socialist thinking everything will be fine until you run out of other people’s money to spend.Which in this case will be the point when this country has no more room for more austerity in all it’s forms. Then the stupid remainers have the nerve to want to support you while at the same time moaning about cuts in the NHS budget and the hopelessly flawed labour market.

Like exactly how much money Buzzer ?.Ironically it’s those with your ideas who are creating the conditions for those who want to hand the country over to a foreign power. In the hope that letting it go can’t possibly be any worse than your obvious intentions of turning the place into a forced labour Victorian sweat shop.Although ironically you must have missed the bit where the EU let Thatcher destroy Brit workers’ rights including the right to strike and in which 15 hour shifts at £8 per hour is considered a good deal.On that note for some reason don’t see many Germans or French wanting to come here to work in your gulag but plenty of East Euros who obviously see it as a better bet than their own version of hell at home.

You aint in the real world are you CF, if they did not get paid good money they sure as hell would not do the job, its a fact that because our lazy compatriots are not interested in any manual labour such as veg or fruit picking this because the Government has made it too easy for them not to bother.
While we are at it why is it that you pick holes in almost every post on here no matter what it is about, makes one wonder that if you are so dam clever why the hell you do not hold a high flying job paying millions. Not sure who’s living high in la la land, Neither Franglais or Dexxy live here and I certainly aren’t, what with a 20% drop in pensions value.
Not sure why anybody should think that the French don’t want to work in England when it is now official that London is the 5th or 6th largest French city by population.
But hey, why bother with facts when they might ruin a good rant.
Those who are eligible for unemployment benefit get up to £73 a week. Daresay other benefits may be available, but I doubt its exactly enough to finance the yachts and champagne lifestyle alleged by some "newspapers"? Fruit picking (seasonal) work being offered at £8-21 per hr. Again, not a massive amount. Maybe better is out there? Hardly worth making it a worthwhile career choice. If only foreign workers find those wages attractive then clearly that great god called "the market economy" dictates that the pay should be increased? Having itinerant workers who could be paid "on the black economy", sometimes with no taxes or NI deductions, and who conveniently disappeared again at seasons end, may have been the norm once, but it isn`t the way for a civilized country to behave in my opinion.

Not exactly an answer the question ‘exactly how much money’ ?.Meanwhile there’s not much point in us all standing together for ‘our country’ when we’ve got one bunch of so called ‘patriots’ calling others ‘lazy’.On that note yes we know that ‘they’ are doing the job but the definition of ‘they’ ain’t exactly German or Swiss farm workers coming here to set up a new life, including affording to buy a house and raise a family with equivalent health care provision as at home, because the wages and quality of life are as good let alone better than at home.As opposed to East Europeans living in ‘mobile homes’ on a group basis because the UK minimum wage and top up benefits looks good when it’s sent home to support their families left behind in otherwise even worse Slavic purgatory.
While we’ve seen the logical conclusion of your Tory bollox in action and the result was …Thatcher. Both supporting our membership of the EU and closing down British industry all partly based on the excuse that German workers are better, work harder and are less militant and East Euro farm workers are unsurprisingly happy to work under your Victorian work ethic because it’s relatively better than the remnants of the Stalinist crap hole they’ve got at home.Well done who needs enemies like Corbyn’s rabble to take out Brexit when we’ve got deluded Thatcherites like you scaring the population into the arms of bleedin Juncker and co.Let alone because the population in question thinks wrongly that Thatcher was on the side of Brexit thereby erroneously tarring decent patriots with your Thatcherite Brit workers are no good brush to the point where they’d rather vote for bleedin Corbyn’s rabble.Make no mistake there’s not much point in voting for Brexit if we just end up with Tebbit’s and Maggie’s version of hell instead of Juncker’s.

Yeah right those farm workers referred to by Buzzer are all French,German and Austrian and they all commute from London out to the country from their detached London houses which they can easily afford to buy on their farm hand wages.Even if they were stupid enough to prefer to live in London than the Vercors,Tyrol or Bavaria etc.
As for a 20% drop in pension what do you expect with negative interest rates needed to bail out an economy staggering under the weight of the EU net contribution and trade deficit.

Great so we’re agreed that free market economics are the problem not the solution.Which makes the EU single market, including labour market and the EU’s open door trade policy with China, good how ?.
As opposed to a Confedral Europe which gives every state the right to close the door on cheap East Euro imports and labour, including under cutting of the transport market and the right to balance trade figures by way of national trade barriers as required in the national interest. In addition to the right to decide our own non EU trade policies unilaterally again in our own respective national interests.
Now awaits the same old remainer bs that we can only have a race to the bottom Tory Brexit as opposed to a real Labour anti free markets ( read Hoey and Benn and Shore before her ) one.The point being that first we have to have Brexit before we can go for the latter or for that matter make the change to a Confedral Europe. At which point we obviously run head on into free markets corporate US Federal government,as opposed to anti free markets Confedral US electorate, policy.
