Eu referendum whats your vote

Buzzer:
There is an indication now that the EU are beginning to favour a longer extension to Brexit maybe to the end of December 2019 are they desperate for our dosh or what, Can we really be expected to put up with another nine months of this Brexit crap, I don’t think so, Buzzer

So? What’s the alternative? Have you personally got any influence in this?
Well, maybe you have. Another vote?

My solution is this, get all the politicians in Whitehall and block up all the doors and airways and gas them with cyanide just like we did with rabbits and the mixxy then we could start again with a clean fresh system, one representative for each county in the country and no more, we don’t need 650 MP’s which is obvious by the shannagin’s of the last three years and Brexit. Also block the channel tunnel up for good measure and while we are at it do the same exercise in Brussel’s as well, problem solved in an instant.
On another note the government in there wisdom paid Brittany Ferries millions to lay on increased sailings every day to cope with mountains of extra traffic that will occur because of Brexit (wrong) on our local news this morning Brittany ferries stated there is a 10% drop in bookings as there is no confidence by the public in going to the EU for holidays and to boot they have dropped the speed limit to 40mph on the motorway approaching Pompy, WTF are they thinking.

Franglais as i said before democracy in this country is dead, removed from the dictionary, if there was any of that left in this place we would be OUT by now and setting sail on our new ventures flying solo but oh no looks like we are going to have to endure an elongation of this sorry saga so lets hope its not to long what ever way it pans out, Buzzer

Wow, that’s some solution, got a kind of ‘final’ ring to it. You know what you should do though, seriously? Get yourself on Question Time. These pearls of wisdom deserve a national audience.

Buzzer:
Just for the record Spardo we don’t buy any fuel abroad now all bought in the UK as its much cheaper than in the rest of the EU, as you know some of the unrest in your adopted country is because of the ridiculously high price of fuel but then Macron needs the tax so your mates can retire at 50 and have a 35hr working week eh, Buzzer.

Quite right and sensible, buy it where it is cheaper, simple economics. Perhaps you could explain that to that ‘mate’ of yours who thinks that I should travel all the way to Dover for my groceries. :unamused:

But you are a bit out of date. The stupid fuel hike here was to reduce France’s carbon footprint, not to support the poor old French drivers who now can’t retire till 62 I believe. :frowning: The retirement at 55 (not 50) was only available to certain long servers in the same company and then only by the permission of the Boss, and I don’t know if it exists anymore.

The fuel hike was stupid and caused the initial trouble as it fell on the least able in society to stand it. Those that had diesel cars, after being many times urged to do so, and can’t afford to change to new electrics. Certainly applies to me, apart from the short trip to the shops and back (4 kms) I haven’t done any private (that is, non re-imbursed) mileage for over 2 years.

I wondered when the good old race card would be thrown in.Maybe i’m just as sick of your posts as you are of mine .Why not come back to Britain and spend all your pension on a country that is keeping you instead of propping up the French economy and then you could have a good look at what this country looks like since free movement.
And quoting you buying parts for your car on Amazon doesn’t do much for the British economy but maybe it does in your world ffs

Yes, it is a sad fact that those for whom the cap fits are the first to condemn the fitting of it.

Why not come back to Britain? Why would I want to come back to the utter mess that it is to become.

How are you doing btw, buying all those ‘only British’ goods that you are so keen for me to buy?
The car? The only ones made there are foreign and that may well change under your new ‘independant’ world.
The food? Half of which comes from abroad and much of the rest is only in your shop because of your much hated ‘economic migrants’.
The TV, the fridge, the cooker, the Dyson (you remember him don’t you, wants to ruin the country and make his stuff outside it. If I could afford another I would kick the one I did buy (from England) right up his…),
The computer?
The sad, undemocratic government that you want to hand back control to?

No thanks.

Flying solo, oh yes, but with no wings?

A certain Mr. A. Hitler would have been proud of you. I can just see him now, if he can see out of his personal hell rubbing his hands with glee, ‘here we go again’.

It’s clear that it’s you who’s closer to Hitler’s idea,of a Europe without borders ruled by Germany, than Buzzer in that regard.Yes flying solo just like we did up to 1973. :unamused:

This from a man who lives in France takes a pension from England and contributes zero to the British economy … oh and has lived abroad elswhere before settling for France. We now know where the economic migrants we apparently welcome with open arms get it from
Sorry about that just a bit of a knee jerk reaction it happens from time to time

A man who lives in France and takes his pension from England and spends part of it in England. I suppose you think that your mate Buzzer’s lorries have always filled their tanks in England, do you?

But nevertheless you continue with your moronic support of the gasser :smiling_imp:

Makes me sick to hear of this relentless attack on the organisation that more than anything else has prevented a recurrence of such xenophobic and racist bile.

The standard of debate just goes up and up on here.

Yes the double standards of some on here who on one post say the only thing certain is no one knows what the outcome of brexit will be and the concequencies but then condems another poster for wanting a no deal .So you must be the one who does know what will happen. Amazing that you contradict your own posts.

Wow you really dont see it do you. Before the EEC we were a manufactuering country within
widespread industry. We have seen British companies slowly swallowed up by foreign firms. In many cases buying firms taking their customer base and closing them down with production moving abroad.Take Volvo Truck and Bus they bought Leyland bus with the sole intention of closing it down with the loss of thousands of British jobs.
When i go buy something here the money goes back into the British economy. I drive a Volvo car made in China shipped to England and i buy it from an English dealer. I go to the shops i buy in England from a retailer here so the money goes back into our economy. You recieve a pension from England and reside abroad and buy goods in France the money going back into the French economy. So you are taking money out of the British economy and putting it into the French economy. The EU states that all EU citizens are entitled to the same benefits in whatever country they live so maybe the French could pay your pension .
The top bosses at Calais port were interviewed by Sky News the other week and said they were geared up for a no deal scenario and that it wouldn’t affect. the port at all , quashing more scaremongering.
If we hadn’t sold out to Europe in the first place we wouldn’t have the need for imports we made ourselves before the invasion. And there’s no reason for us not to stand on our own 2 feet again .17.5 million of us agree on that no scaremongering there

Go back a few posts and read the reply Bewick recieved when he said he wanted no deal , no one’s certain what will happen but your mate up north seems to be mi duck

Well that makes it plain to see who does not see. You buy your Volvo car from a dealer who keeps 100% of what you give him and sends absolutely nothing of it back to its makers in China, its owners in Sweden (EU country, very bad), or the various tranporters who bring it to you. What kind people are they all to do so much for you for free.

And your shopkeeper, he keeps all of the money for the English economy, does he. Can you listen to yourelf? :unamused:

Really? And from where do you propose to get all that money to resurrect all the heavy industries that have been spirited away? From the Yanks I suppose, so they can sell you their contaminated chooks. Best of luck with that then. And how nice of you to speak personally for every one of those 17.5 million. Bet it took you an age to ask if they all agree.

I was going to advise you to ditch the Volvo and by a Morgan, the only English car left, but someone down the pub last week told me that they had been sold to the Italians. Must be true, I heard down the pub. :unamused:

To repeat myself, I said nobody knows for certain what will happen. I never said anything about the outcome. The ‘outcome’ could be as soon as Friday or it could drag on for another year.
Who did I condemn? If someone is stupid enough to want a ‘No Deal’ it’s up to them. I’m just giving you my opinion, that’s still allowed isn’t it?

I liked all the Ramones actually, still do. It was rare though that you could get any sense out of them. Family trait that’s carried on obviously.

Well this thread is very educational, I knew nothing about the Ramones till today, isn’t Google wonderful although I know I shouldn’t patronise it, with it not being British of course :unamused: but one thing I did find out was that Johnnie was Irish. Hmm, I wonder if Bewick knows that you and Ramone like him, better keep it quiet.

The only punk band I liked was Ian Drury, British to the core.
