EU driving license exchange - questions

Hi guys.

So I’m getting closer to move forward with obtaining HGV license, but I have a few questions.

Been in this country for over 12 years and never exchanged my Polish license (don’t ask as I get enough crap from missus about this). My questions is can I send D1 form to swap it for GB license and at the same time apply for a lorry provisional or does it have to be done separately ?

I’m not totally sure but I believe there is a time limit for exchanging an EU licence for a UK one. Or there is a time limit on driving on a foreign licence without exchanging it. Can’t remember off hand.

You need first get Uk license and then send back with form asking for provisional first get medical then fill D2 not D1 for hgv provisional and send D2and D4 together

actually I’ve spoke with DVLA and you can do both at the same time, using the D2 form (with attached D4 medical obviously).
