Evening All,
I am already a tramper for Maritime’s - but just wondering what rates ESL pay for tramping?
Could be interested in near future to switch if they have job offers.
Cheers

£7.20 Days 0600-1800
£8.10 Nights 1800-0600
£9.50 Saturday and Sunday (I think)
£11.00 Saturday and Sunday night (I think).
£22.50 N/O
£13.50 Meal Allowance.
It’s not great but if you’re allowed to max your hours it’s not bad.
Didn’t like it myself, only lasted three months but that was mostly the Tramping.
Thanks mate, appreciate that!
That is not bad rates I guess, on a bit more than that at Maritimes but don’t always max my hours out so ideally would prefer something I can tramp 5 days/4 nights a week.

Considering how many trampers Stobarts have laid off recently, you’re better off at Maritime - take it from an ex- Maritime driver who’s now on agency for Stobart
Really mate?
Maritime is good actually, I do enjoy it. Did you just do mainly container work when you were there?
Are the meal allowances/night out rates just paid onto your wages? I know every company is different.

Yes, they’d just got the 1st 60 curtains when I got relieved of my post

Yes, but tax free obviously
I mainly do the distribution work, but occasional trips for the containers.
Got one of the new R440 units.
Add around 8% to those rates after 12 months which will give you an extra £40- £50 a week. Also. the meal allowances and night out money is of course tax free. Not saying it’s brilliant money but not as bad as some would suggest.
If I had a choice I’d be staying with Maritime mate . You get decent kit and earn more money . Don’t forget Stobbies think nothing of getting rid of trampers en masse !!

,
Interesting reads, what are the basic hours for annual holiday?
Can see where you coming from though!
