Just a bit slower round the roundabouts next time.

He would have had to put right hand full lock on just to drive in a stright line

wasn’t kegs. 26pallets of beer. he’d come off the M50 at jcn 2. vosa was following him. the load moved and vosa stopped him and escorted him there. by the time he got there it was that bad. (first time ive seen the day time picture. i was on shift when this happened)
this was an agency driver, not a newbie and not a young un. yes it was a sam motor.
these loads dont move anywhere unless you do summit really daft.

We used to backload out of Bulmers Hereford and never had any problems pallets of cans or kegs, however I don’t know how we would go these day what with VOSA and their stance on all loads being secure.
Reason being our trailers didn’t have the mesh netting integrated into the curtain and with the cags being in crates of 4 loose. Rachet straps would be of no use, plus you would need about 26 straps to secure the 26 pallets, even chucking the strap back over you would require 26 ratchets. The most span sets we carry are 18.

I was at Carlsberg about 10 years and we never had a palletised load shift, but we did have a few keg loads go over especially on the slip road form M25 onto m11 southbound.
