Been doing a lot of digging around to find out what vehicle would be best for sub-contracting and I’ve narrowed it down to either the ERF EC11 or Foden 3325. I’ve heard that ERF electrics are more reliable yet Foden have a better pay-load?
Given the choice, what would you go for?
Also, do you know of any good ERF EC11 tippers (8 wheeler) for sale?
Thanks,
Robert
We run 2 ec11 they were jack Richards new then stretched to rigids one is chipped to 500 and has run at 44 tonne with drawbar trailer for the last 3 years ,if they blew up tomorrow they’ve cost nothing to run other than brakes and tyres ect at 14 years old you can’t complain ,one was £4000 and the other £6000 I guess they would sell now for £4000 each so it’s cheap motoring .but buying a 14 year old 8 wheeler tipper is a bit different it would have to come from a good home .
Get an EC14 with twin split, and a vertical exhaust, then throw away the radio and listen to the noise instead.
Ken.

Listen to the gearbox growl when there’s a steering wheel attendant sat in it you mean.
