ERF ec11 T 470 AFJ

Hi all

As a new member of trucknet and someone who has had an interest in road transport for many years and spent a few years as a driver I have recently acquired the ex Brian Harris tractor unit for restoration. I know that when Brian sold up, the vehicle was purchased at auction by W.J.Clayton (Kelvedon Transport) of Rogerstone, Newport, South Wales. If anyone on here could help with any further information or photographs of this lorry during its working life I would be grateful.
Thanks in anticipation.

If you did a search on here you would prob come up with lots of pics of Brain harris trucks There has been quite a lot of Magazine articles as well.

There is plenty to look at if you google Brian Harris Widecombe . My advice knowing how close knit it is on the moor someone in the village will be able to help you. There will be lots of pictures within the local community.
If you need some help message me with more details, have fun.

Thanks for the info longpod, If you could ask Bryn for any further info/photos on my behalf that would be great. I would be interested to know who its original driver was and if he took any photos whilst he had it.

FJ is an Exeter registration as would be expected the people pn the moor like to deal with people they lnow and have long standing relationshis with might be worth you researching the Exeter Dealership or those who worked at the Dealership.

Yep. Have the scan you need somewhere easy, like in Pictures on your computer.
Open the reply thing on the thread and type anything you want to say.
Then look in the bottom left-hand corner and click on ‘upload attachment’. A little box will open below that. Click on ‘choose’ just below.
A box will open for you to select your scan from your computer. Click on the scan, then click on ‘open’.
Then at the bottom of the page, click on ‘add the file’ and wait a while for it to process.
Click on ‘place inline’,
and finally click on 'submit.

Here’s a pic of one of the last EC’s I drove. Robert
