erf c/w tag

Hi all ,

anybody got any ideas just how many ecx’s were built with a tag axle , we just bought one & we know of only 3 others .

thanks in advance for any info .

I remember an article in Com Motor a good few years back about one of the last 14 leggers with a TAG going to a company which hauled oils of the edible variety.

I found at least 4 tags on Flickr. There’s also one that I see regularly around the Peterborough area. It’s a red low roof with the name plate Carl on the front.

Think there was one on sale on one of the auction sites in scotland the other day

Yes - we bought it , looking to compile the history of it , we do know it was the last of the " magnificent seven " which were all fitted with 14 ltr , sold through strathclyde erf dealers , the missing gap is between first owner & when roger freeman of curdworth had it . this truck will be used for private use pulling steam traction engines etc & truck shows hence the interest in it’s history . any info gratefully recieved .
