I wonder if the Marks and Sparks driver with his Plan A trailer that I saw in the parking area near Monmouth today has signed this petition.Perhaps no, as he was ■■■■■■■ on his truck rather than walking all of 30 metres to the toilets.

Okay, when it you put it that way it makes it sound like it isn’t doing so well but haven’t you noticed the 59 pages of petitions (1149 petitions) behind it on the department for transport board? and only 27 petitions in front of it? Another 1000 names and it should be on the top page.

Didnt mean to put it down. I was meerly stating how many more were needed. I did take notice of how many other petitions were behind it and considering it has not been running very long it is doing well. Problem is (I’m pretty sure…)plenty of drivers like moaning and putting up with sub standard services.
Anyhows what would we moan about then other than cyclists, sunday drivers and traffic.
Well as some of the comments on here suggest saying it will never work, however whats wrong with trying ! There is a very defeatest attitude at the moment around every trade/ service in this country, nobody sticks together anymore and we wonder why we get treated like mushrooms: kept in the dark and fed on ■■■■■■
Hopefully the only good thing that comes out of these harsh economical times is more people will help each other out and stand together. Then again lots of people like the saying dog eat dog aye?

I think there is a case of people having become either afraid to speak up for themselves or being discouraged too easily when their voices have been ignored in the past. Also, freedom of expression, speech and other civil liberties have been corroded, unfortunately, and that hasn’t helped people’s self confidence very much.

This is the reason i stopped tramping and took a job so i am home on a night.I have had to have one night out unexpectedly in the eight months i have been there as nights out are like rocking horse ■■■■!!I am going to sign this but can anyone tell me how to share this on facebook as i have quite a few friends who will sign it.For the last three or four years i have wanted to open a truckstop and being a driver i think i could make it work.Its just the money and someone selling land then permission to build etc.Not so sure the banks would be willing to help and the public probably would have something to say about a truckstop.I live near Hull and the amount of lorries going to the docks that have to park in the laybys on the A63 is silly.No security and no facilities of any real use.There needs to be somewhere that is patrolled and that has cameras.There needs to be somewhere to eat properly rather than just the fried crap thats offered.
