Enviromental markings on vehicles

Having taken delivery of a new Iveco Stralis 26 tonne vehicle today , I couldn’t help noticing the large green disc stickers ‘L’ and ‘G’ that are on the front. As it is a Euro5 engine obviously they are to do with emissions.

I used to see similar discs on the bumpers of mostly Austrian and German trucks years ago. For instance a dark circle with a H contained within. Does anyone have a list of what all these different disc signs meant?

It’s all here

except for the ‘H’

blimey!
you do realise I searched these forums first for the answer before posting?

Thanks mate, Now I wonder why they are on my brand new UK registered vehicle? Came from dealers with them on. No likelyhood of transiting Switzerland or Austria anymore…well, not with this truck I wont!

Harlow eh,

Quite a few Essex bods on here nowadays.
