Enough skips?

Nothing fell off.
No children were killed.
Skip driver using indicators and lane discipline on roundabout :open_mouth:

Also, why is the car driver filming this while driving?

jackslad:
You don’t see that very often these days,a lorry driver indicating.

He couldn’t go straight on anyways - 7.5t through Cliffsend now. The “Bypass” involves doing the other 3 sides of a square, and dog-leg around the village.

I know nothing about skips but if it’s held down by chains “properly restrained” is there anything in the vosa rule book saying it can’t be done? Yeah it looks wrong and it probably handles like a bag of spanners rather him than me type situation.

As for if it looks wrong it probably is wrong, have any you guys ever seen that Poundland double decker rigid? Now that looks wrong, if I got the keys to that I would be ■■■■■■■ maself

its fine the driver has completed his 35 hrs of cpc training and has his card on him :grimacing:

Yeah we get it Winseer, you know which roundabout it is. You put a Google Streetview image in the opening post remember? Nobody cares.

and he even used the right hand lane to turn right, he deserves a medal, what with sheeting the top one too

I would say that only a cowboy skip driver and company would have ventured on the road with those skips loaded like that
the top skip is barely inside the next one. Imagine what would happen if someone braked really hard and skippy had to do the same he would have had a sore head. Vosa would have had a stop put to that. There was new laws bought in a few years ago along with the safe load security and there is a limit to how many skips you can put on. Eddie.

They were chained down, they’re going nowhere. So if he had to brake really hard, nothing would have happened. If he’d been stopped by VOSA, not that they exist any longer, they’d look at it, see it was secure and sent him on his way.

If it wasn’t chained down you’d have seen those skips move when he cornered.

I like the comment by the company boss: There were four chains holding it down." Hmmmm oink oink.

lifting chains are on top skip , then extending arms are pulling down on chains ,so it has 4 chains
