End of the T Cab

The T cab and chassis is only 13 inches longer than the cabover model!!

Bugsy:
The T cab and chassis is only 13 inches longer than the cabover model!!

How’s that then? Where do they lose it? Surely the bonnet is more than 13 inches.

Salut, David.

Driving a bonneted truck every day for a living I can honestly say they are all crap :exclamation: Cabovers are far easier to manouver.

That scabby old KW shown is a pile of junk by the way.

Sorry to go off topic but that KW above is bigger than my first house so what do they need all that space for and what’s the layout like inside?

Why

So a couple can live full time in the thing and do coast to coast. When they eventually get to where ever they are going they have to employ some other driver to use a normal truck and acually deliver the stuff because trying to back a trailer into a normal loading dock with that would be difficult … if in fact it was allowed more than a mile from the interstate, which in some Sates it wouldn’t be :exclamation:

Apart from the fact the cab is an antiquewith a stone age gear box that half the guy’s on here would have no chance of getting on with and the steering wheel is the size of an average circular dinning room table.

All you guys who dream of driving such piles of junk should actually be given one for a month, you would soon change your mind

Awww, it’s not too bad eh Pat?
The gearboxes have their good points when you get used to them. Nothing a good euro auto box wouldn’t do better, but still :stuck_out_tongue:
And those big petercars do look good with a stack of chrome and chicken lights… even if the design is 50 years old.
Ok, the dash design ■■■■■. For real work, I’d have a volvo 660 or 780 any day of the week. Maybe even a 610 if I was solo… No thanks on the long nose one, even if it does have the 16l volvo engine…

T-cab going in the UK? No loss, it’s an ugly motor. Besides, with the dumb length laws in europe, they can’t do much better anyway.
