Good Friday evening everybody!
Well as of today I have left my current job and beginning a new adventure on Monday.
Class 2 tramping around the country. Working out of Widnes. Proper made up!
To think this time last year I was dithering about whether to take the jump into a full time driving from a job that was pretty secure to now is amazing!
So long to that dreaded Moffett and bag of shrapnel Iveco.
Hope to get some diaries up once I’m on my feet and all sorted.

I know it’s a shame about Widnes, but the best thing about it is I only have to be there twice a week. First time to go in get wagon an bugger off for the week. Second time to bring wagon back then bugger off home
Which company is it in Widnes? I’ve done a few adr jobs in widnes, not come across any class 2 tramping adr though!
Well that’s the end of the first week. Haven’t been anywhere just running up and down to the plant to get loaded/unloaded.
Going over paperwork and other such fiddlybits. Got mg wagon today , duh its been the one I’ve been in all week. Buts its now “mine”.
Got my first run 3 drops and aiming to be back in yard Wednesday to load and then run back out with 2.
Got my notes photocopied so I can plan my route all weekend for it to go to rat ■■■■ 15 mins after I leave yard [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]

Not Calco, I don’t know this companies policy on naming them online atm. So I’ll not be naming them…yet.

yeah no worries mate was only asking coz i used to work with a guy that works there, was gonna ask you to say hi.

Yeah organising a BBQ with the family tomorrow the. A nice settled Sunday to help me relax!
Well first day has been completed. One drop in whitacre! Had fun getting down the M6 (avoiding toll)
Now at Rugby Truckstop. Nice fellow trucker pointed me in the right direction to shop.
One drop today , 2 tomorrow. Then run back to Widnes Wednesday to reload and head back out!
If the office staff stay this laid back then I’ve landed on a brilliant job.

cant say my day has been quite so enjoyable, started on the class 1 work today, flooded my house after dozing off with the bath running, then found out just how bad my reversing was when i done a bit of shunting in the yard.

hope everything gets sorted. Don’t worry about the reversing. I’m in a rigid tried reversing yesterday and you would think I’d never reversed a wagon before.
Well I finished my first week at 1030am yesterday. Great first week, but need to watch the amount of times I stop over night in services, even though I get the money back it’s really expensive.
Been to Birmingham, Bristol, Bournemouth, Kent.
The M25 can Get to [zb]! Haha.
First drop next week is somewhere in Wales then over to Somerset.
Maidstone is £34 to park!

Think the most I paid was £24. The cheapest was £7.
I need to start finding lay-bys on the A-roads to stop in at night and use the services during the day for the old bits and pits wash and a Tommy tight.
