End of Lockdown - Let Absurdities Commence!

Wheel Nut:
I took the dog to the groomers this morning, it was locked down like Fort Knox. She wore a full size chemical visor, dust mask, industrial apron, boots and gloves. I had to sanitise my hands, lock the dog in a cage and walk 2 metres backwards, the groomer went in, picked the dog up and took it away.

My dog licks its own bum, and willie and eats catpoo, he doesn’t care for all this PPE

Urrgh!

If the definition of “True Pain” is to tread on a lego 4x2 brick on the stairs, “Sharp Pain” being sliding down a razorblade using your ■■■■■■■■ as a brake…

…Then the height of “Disgusting” has got to be a big pile of dog sick that sits there with cat turds poking out of it like toad-in-the-hole… :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Pharaoh and the bad pint.jpg

As the French like to say,

"Plus ca change
Plus c’est la meme chose"

More absurdity…

“130,000 bees nicked”…

They are worth a monkey, apparently… :unamused:  :open_mouth:

So much for Brixton, where I first went to school, as already mentioned on another thread here… :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Today’s absurdity:

How come with the Pound dropping to ever-new lows against the Euro, we’ve got people apparently chomping at the bit to get a foreign EU-based Holiday right now?

Travel Agents report a surge in bookings - and NOT for “Staycations” as Logic would suggest right now “seems to be a better idea” than squandering your cash abroad at inflated prices, due to the weak pound…
How about "getting back in touch with the grandkids/grandparents? Things that a “Staycation” would help facillitate, but two weeks at same-old-same-old TeneThief or Horribleamenos just won’t cut the ice?

Minnesota have voted to disband their police force.
…But this is the story getting through from America on the BBC…

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-53244997

So we’re supposed to presumably all gather and chant “Orange Man Bad” and “Death to America”
rather than
Trump can be authorized to send in the national guard to Minnesota at any time the Democrat High Command requests it of him now”.

Just because something gets reported as “News” - doesn’t mean it is actually happening,
nor does something “not making the news” - mean it isn’t going on as we speak.

Another example is the comparison between China’s actions in Indian Territory (real) Tibet (real) and Hong Kong (real)
plugged alongside the so-called reported genocide going on against 2m+ Rohingya Muslims population…

What should we be most concerned with in the West out of all or any of these stories?
What should we want to DO about any of these stories in the West?
What CAN we do in the West?

I know what I would do.
World Embargo against China, and a co-ordinated defaulting of all outstanding debt to Chinese Financial institutions, not just their banking system.
This could easily be brought about by a closing down (moratorium) of our internationally traded bond markets.
It would mean that our current and future governments - have only what monies they can raise to spend in future, BUT any money borrowed already - now doesn’t have to be paid back, nor the interest upon it.
We’d be in effect in the west "running up our credit card as a country, and then cutting it up, once maxed-out, refusing to make any repayments, and using what we WOULD have been paying in interest payments - to balance the budgets back at home…
Imagine a concerted effort between Trump, Johnson, and the other G7 leaders here… Don’t we all owe China a bloody nose right now?

…Or are we going to continue to take the line

“We are in debt to China. You must must must always pay your debts, even if it means murder/suiciding your families when you have no job, no prospects, and can now no longer afford to make even your minimum payments on things like credit cards, much financed by Chinese Banks as it stands.”

Mortgages are somewhat different, as in such a internatioanl mass-default as described above, all persons with outstanding debts, would effectively become squatters in their own part-paid mortgaged homes.
When it comes down to it, China can no more “invade the entire West militarily to enforce their debts” than the West can team up and invade the Chinese mainland.
It is a guaranteed Stalemate, regardless of which side wants to start fighting WWIII over the issue of “unpaid debts”…
I suggest that WWIII therefore will NOT precipitate IF the West decided all at once to take such a drastic course of action against China.
Meanwhile IN China, they don’t have enough water to create sufficient food to feed their entire population.
Would their military be sent out to capture surrounding countries, and thus re-source both food and water from them?

Isn’t that exactly what appears to already be well under way this year?

The West - is already at war with China. Cyber, Biological, and Financial strikes - have already happened, and continue…
It isn’t “WWIII” - that’s all.

How absurd it is - that the rest of the world continues to pay interest to Chinese institutions then, or tolerate political parties beholden to China, or political world-wide organizations like the UN and WHO - ALSO beholden to China…

Imagine in 1940 America investing money in Germany so Hitler can build more Junkers Bombers to blitz our cities in the months to come…
Imagine UK politicians in 1941 investing in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries not making Hard Drives at that time - but Zero Aircraft to take part in the forthcoming Pearl Harbour attacks…

…And yet, here we are in the West, continuing to pay hard cash to China - on the eve of their biggest shafting of us all in the West, one way or the other… Cyber, Jobs, Money, or by their vassal empire - the EU… :unamused: :unamused:

This entire article - covers such a huge absurdity, I need not comment on it further here. :unamused: :unamused:
