Hi all,
Not been on here in a while, so i thought i would say hi again.
After 19 years, 210 days in the Army, i was one of the 2900 to be given my “Marching Orders” this week
So, its now the process of trawling and applying for jobs, so I have already applied for Stobarts, apparently they have 15 vacancies in there Goole depot !!!
If there are any ex forces members out there…and I am sure there are
, what courses did you do on resettlement which helped with a driving career ?
I already have ADR in/out tanks 1,2 and 3.Would moffat, flt or other such courses be beneficial ? or should i look into doing cpc ?
I have a sneaking suspicion that the next 6 months are going to fly by !!!
Cheers for any help or advice in advance
Hi mate I got out last year do your driver cpc get on with a agencyand do week end work and any other course you feel is nesasery for what type of driving you want to do most do adr the full package good luck.
Ps find some were to live the councils will just fob you off
Lol, thanks angus,
Already got my own place, so that’s one less thing to worry about
Sorry to hear that fella. IMO do all and everything you can get out of them and more! Get a full CPC national/international just to cover the bases if you should ever be unable to drive and you will also have to complete a DCPC too. Then get all the ADR stuff, moffat and anything else that could be useful to a prospective employer. And don’t forget that you will have to suffer some muppets along the way but just smile!!
