The only Alexandra dock I’ve heard of is in Newport in south Wales.
If you go to the lights at the end of millers bridge turn right , go to the next set and turn left you will come to a roundabout , turn left and just as you go over the rail lines turn sharp right and the entrance is on your left . If its still the same it’s the furthest weigh bridge from you .
The dock at Bootle, sorry.

It’s changed slightly, or had last time I was there, you couldn’t go over the rail lines to the right, so at the roundabout you take the next exit from the 1 you used to take and run along side the lines all the way up and turn right to the weigh bridge

ignore my post, thought you’d come in from the other end… my bad… I used to come in from Strand Road and skip across the tracks, but you can’t do that now… 
Not sure if you can cross the lines where you said, if not though, just carry on down to roundabout (approx 3/4 mile) take 1st exit and come back along the other side of the rail lines.

Tash lad, the replys are right but there is road closures were they have routed you, best way presuming your comin this way is down to switch island, follow innings bridge road right down to dock, in dock at main gate, turn left after cop shop, follow ya nose passed weigh bridge, to the island take 2nd exit follow arou d to left straight down and emr comes up on your right, go onto 1st weigh bridge, he will tell you were to take straps off, who r you doing th load for bud
Didn’t know about the road closure it’s been a while , if you go in by the cop shop watch your speed they used to be ■■■■ hot with them .
