What’s the current situation up there regarding LGV work? Is there full time jobs or is the usual agency and temp roles.
Depends on what skills you have, but should be plenty of work,
Everything from euro work, trunking and local work,
If you have ADR, including explosives and radio active, there are at least 3 companies that will take you on, RTH, panalpina and mgs for oil industry work.

Craibs were advertising last week for general/flat work
Last time i was there the town seemed to be a “boom town”, lots of expensive cars, signs of job growth and good prospects, the trucks seemed new and up together. No signs of a recession at all.

Just thought a few lads on here may have some useful info, and they have! But there’s always one! 
The reason I haven’t "got off my ring’ is that it wouldn’t be ideal to approach potential employers when you dont yet know a 100% the date you would be relocating to the area!

Aberdeen is a junkie hell hole,and i say that living on glasgow.ive lived and have family in aberdeen.crack and oil is the exports.also what these guys told you was already available with a quick online search so i say again get off your ring and look.phone and ask companys or are you gonna rock up with a pack lunch and a bluetooth if your wife takes thejob and declare “iam here”
Sounds like most UK cities to be honest. Plenty of nice places to live in/near aberdeen.
Id move the kids there tomorrow instead of staying in Nottingham. Although saying that Id rather live almost anywhere but nottingham
I spent ages trying to find a place to park in Edinborough, parked next to the police station and walked in to see the sights,walked to the the HQ of the parliment building, the security man said i could have parked there near the coach parking on the hill.
I was at Aberdeen at the weekend ,its a cold frigid place.Remember to pack your thermals.

Arr Craib, asco, peterson sbs, and others are all supposedly looking for drivers at the moment up here full adr is an advantage but some of them will take you on without it. Most of the work up here is oil related on flats, so knowing how to use straps, ratchets, chains and dwangs helps
