Employment agencys

Currently on the books with 1 agency but thinking of signing up with a second, How does it work if your on the books with 2 agencys as PAYE as regards to paying tax etc. Cheers

I’m no expert but I assume they will look at your total earnings so don’t see too much of a problem. Ask a payroll expert or accountant for advice possibly.

Also you’ll potentially get shafted all over the place by working for two groups of parasites (agencies). Get full time with a company if you can?

P45 to the primary agency (the one who gives you most work)
P46 to any subsequent agencies, or 1 will be filled out by them when you sign up.
Primary agency will stop NI/PAYE in accordance of your tax code.
Subsequent agencies will initially stop you NI/PAYE at “emergency tax” rates, or until HMRC notify them of your tax coding, or you notify them with a P45 if you switch primary agency.
Any over payments of PAYE should be adjusted later in the tax year, or if you apply at the end of the tax year. Any agency whom you’ve not worked for 3+ months may send you a P45 & you may have to re-register.
