Hello all I’m just wondering how long employers can go back on your card? Ive Got six months C1 now and am looking at a job at Royal Mail but it says no more than ten infringements in the last 12 months. When I first started I made manual entry errors so was thinking is that it or is this driving hours infringements. I used to get wtd infringements because of manual entry errors. My last 28 days would be clear
They can go back as far as the data on your card is available. A card is uploaded to hold 56 days worth of data but can easily hold a good years worth or data, depends on lots of factors like the amount of mode changes etc.
So the question is how long is a piece of string.
They may not be as bothered with manual entry errors as people makes mistakes, but lots of breaking the rules shows a lack of caring or just a don’t give a ■■■■ attitude and I guess that is what they are trying to weed out.
However I do a manual entry error once every few months now and again so if your doing a lot then I suggest maybe leading how to do manual entries better and get better at doing them to avoid getting it wrong on future.
I did a lot when I first started I don’t do that many now at all I’m averaging one infringement maybe two a month now by forgetting or something stupid like that. Wtd not driving infringements
