i have done my medical and d2 its all sent off. so next step is theory.
the above 2 seem to be the main training providers in my area Doncaster… has anyone had any experience with either and give me some advice on who i should go with ? thanks
Not going to comment on the other trainers but we’re just down the road and perhaps worth a look.
Get yourself assessment booked with the two you mention and us (ours is free) then compare. You will need provisional entitlement before you can do that.
… and 10% discount for Trucknet users. Please mention if you choose to book with us.
tbh for all the testimonials and success stories i have read about your training company you would definitely be my first choice… but unfortunately your not quite close enough my plan is to fit lessons around my work so when i finish at 3 i need to get somewhere quickly so i can fit a couple of hours in a day if that makes sense ■■ i dont expect you to slander them in any way if they are terrible but are they well known or should i re think and just travel further a field for my training ? cheers
Going back a while, Atlas certainly used to offer short sessions that would maybe suit. We offer weekends and it’s possible to have training on Sat/Sun and test on Monday. I still believe you should have assessments for comparison. Not all training is the same.
I don’t know of any training school to recommend in Doncaster, as suggested try out a few different companies. As for learning to drive the truck after work, if possible I would suggest you consider taking time off work to complete the training. If you train on an evening then chances are the instructor will have been at work since 7:30am and will doubtless be tired, as might you too. Considering the investment you will be making, its worth doing it right.

you are right to be honest i know the best way would be to book a week off work and get it out of the way would be the best. but trying to get it off from work is a nightmare ! so thats why i am trying to figure out the best way to do it. its something i have got my heart set on so i have no doubt i will pass. just got to work out what works best
If you follow the route I suggest ie assessments, you can find out the options that each trainer can offer. You can choose to train on auto or manual, eves or weekends.
When you get your provisional - check on line to see when it’s added, get those assessments booked!
