Emergency services.

There is something in the highway code about this, also a traffic sargeant once imparted to me do not break the law to move out of the way, wait untill it’s safe and clear to do so.

I think it says move over to allow the emergency services to pass when it is safe and legal, or words to that effect

It does say that BUT it is not realistic in many situations which is why that is ignored in such circumstances by the authorities

Video is recorded for yellow box offences, and I think bus lanes; but red light cameras are automatic, and just take a couple of stills

bring the families along of the people saved from the fire.

But what if no fire and he was just going to rescue a kitty or a nun from out of a tree ■■

i would only try and create a space…would never jump a red light…go into a bus lane…or a yellow box…for no one…even if the ol bill was wanting to go through…fighting it in court…is time consuming…will cost me money…so for a few seconds…i will wait…not being a nuisance…or arrogant…but dont trust the courts…supposing…anytime you fancied going into a box…a bus lane…or jumping a light…you just say…i moved because of a blue light flashing…are they gonna believe ya…cos in doing so, they may not see the blue light if its up your arras…its even difficult if the ol bill got out of his car…and swore at ya to move, what proof do you have to get your ticket cancelled,?

As long as no kittens, nuns, or smiley faced dolphins are harmed…my life is complete.

I doubt most have a video stream either so hard to prove you just moved a little bit.

Got caught encroaching into a bus lane to let an ambulance, running on active blue lights, pass & took an age to get it annulled with the use of the same video taken at the time. The notice is issued without any human involvement, as far as I can see, and the time and agrevation it took to get the annulment pretty much made my mind up never to cross a red light to let a blue light vehicle pass, more so in a lorry.

I suppose if you could move into the bus lane so could the emergency vehicle. They’re going to find it easier to argue the matter when the nip turns up.

3 lane road, near side the bus lane, middle the lane I was in & right the oncomming traffic. The ambulance was comming towards me not from behind.
