I am thinking A702, M74, M6 etc. A1 coastal route seems somewhat circuitous and long-winded. Came up from Peterborough and had plenty of time, so I used the A1, A696, A68 route (nice scenic drive, but a slow route and I am a little more stretched for time going back!) What are people’s opinions?? Google Maps by default says M74, M6 is the quickest route, even though longer (I don’t use a Satnav). Thank you in advance!

a1 for me, it not as bad as it used too be as theres quite a few more dual parts now
