EDDIES TEXTER

DaiDap:
Exactly. Back in the day you weren’t classed as a driver unless you could hold 2 conversions on 2 phones, neither of which were hands free, whilst negotiating monmouth lights and roundabout in an ERF with a twinsplitter. :grimacing:

ZB Off, you couldn’t get a phone signal in a ERF :stuck_out_tongue:

Theres going to be a lot of lorries crashing. All the drivers will be writing down reg numbers etc whilst there driving a puddle jumper

Coffeeholic:
It’s a sad state of affairs when so called professional drivers cannot mange to text and drive in a straight line at the same time. Shocking, it’s not rocket science.

It does make you wonder what training schools are training people if they cant get the basics like that right…

Wheel Nut:
If it had been any other colour truck, this post would not exist. How often do you see, blonde bimbo in Mazda seen putting lippie on?

hiya all

as other have said, agree with post above.

I think their drivers are seen as ‘blue eyed boys’ 'knights of road’houlier than thou truck drivers, how all truckers should be, (yeah whatever) , or may be thats how the PR departments wants them to be seen.

cert the case with some of the drivers i have seen at RDCs THE ‘yes sir. no sir, 3 bags full sir’ type of stobart driver.

so when one of these ‘blue eyed, greens’’ (a BEGs lol lol ) is spottted trangressing a ■■■■■ in the green armour is seen and we just like to poke fun, for fun. lol lol

Could never get good reception with the CB, but the bloody phone worked more’s the pity!
‘Crazytrucker’

The skills that are being lost tis a shame. I was told I wouldn’t be able to call myself a driver until I could drive a Scammell crash box with a baccy tin balanced on my left knee and ■■■ paper in my right hand. The baccy tin ensured you couldn’t use the clutch and the ■■■ paper ensured only one hand for steering or gear changing, so you only did one at a time . Apparently a “good” driver would roll himself a ■■■ whilst getting from 1st to 6th. And the amazing thing was it actually makes sense if you ever get to drive on old Scammell.Needless to say I’m still a rubbish roller of ■■■■ and a rubbish driver!

i think if drivers just concentrated on there own driving instead of looking for reasons to pull along side and sound the horn ( which can be just as dangerous) the road will be a safer place, we all see allsorts of stupid acts but if trying to spot stobarts doing something wrong and then posting on here is your thing then what a sad existence. isnt the whole stobart thing getting so boring am sure if i used roadhawk i could post some altercation on here everyday from every company, if this wasent a stobart then it would never of been posted or replied to :unamused: :unamused:

jrl driver:
we should have a board on here for that,do a name & shame for the drivers & the wagon they are in,seen on the phone!!! :imp: :imp:

you never know there bosses might see it

good idea, you dog

Aren’t Stobarts/ weren’t Stobarts, supposed to be the creme de la creme of drivers?
I mention them here, because they seem to have a brilliant reputation, and all I see from a lot of their drivers,
is ■■■■ poor driving. I don’t look out for it…It happens! :unamused:
