Eddie stobarts fitters

well there was a fancy sing written eddie stobart van turn up today at scania with all the flashing beacons with ‘eddie stobart on site service engineering vehicle’ written all over it
A green gringo stepped out from it, not a fitter just a lorry driver
he gave me the guided tour of his van and the back was filled with those fancy expensive stainless steel snap on toll boxes better then the AA and RAC have
he opened all the draws and said there no ■■■■■■■ tolls in hear its all empty
in fact the only tools in the van was a mini angle grinder and a generator
he said the generator had no petrol in it
he said stobats dont even use this van for doing call out repairs scania do all that, the fitters just use this van for going down the chippy

Is that how it works at stobarts or something
dose not matter if it dose not work or dose not do any thing so long as it looks good

Who cares? If they can afford it leave them to it!!

What do you think the fitter was doing in the Scania dealers? He gave you a guided tour of an empty van and tells you he only goes the chippy in it? I’d love to know who initiated the conversation between the two of you !!
But Stobarts do have a workshop and i’d of thought he was getting parts?

Been in the workshop at Stoke and it was mint, even make their own number plates up - handy for me that day - I’d not lost it, truck just didn’t have the correct 1, only the wrong 1, they carry two types.
Every tool you can imagine was in there, computers to fix the truck and the trailer, tyre machines, etc.

I’m pretty sure if a fitter gets a call out, he takes his own tools, the same as we did on recovery.

Yes mate, that’s right. Cos its easy changing brake chambers with tywraps for spanners innit

I’m pretty sure as he says above, they don’t use them generally for call outs. Its mostly new ish stuff under warranty?

i though this would turn into another 3 page rant
cant be any sader then some of the other posts i read on hear

Why not send this van round to Harry Monk, he’ll need it to put in all the gear people are suggesting he needs for his Truck tool box, it can nip for some chips too while Harry is doing an engine change!
